What a weekend for women’s wrestling.

Dreamwave Wrestling and its partner promotions put together a loaded lineup of events, and the women’s division made the most of every opportunity. A big shoutout to Wrestling Open, Uprising 8, After Dark Wrestling, Dreamwave Wrestling, Open Wrestling Rhode Island, and PWF for giving these athletes a platform to shine.

WRESTLING OPEN

GABBY FORZA DEF. AMIRAH

The weekend got started with Gabby Forza taking on Amirah. Both competitors came out with plenty of energy, but Gabby’s power proved to be the difference-maker. Amirah had her moments and never stopped fighting, but a huge spear from Forza ended the match and gave her the first women’s victory of the weekend.

UPRISING 8

Uprising 8 was one of the standout events of the weekend. The women’s division was stacked from top to bottom, and every match brought something different to the show.

Championship matches are always unpredictable, but adding five competitors into the mix takes things to another level. The action moved fast from start to finish as every challenger looked for an opening. In the end, Rebecca J. Scott found a way to survive the chaos and leave with her championship still intact.

Wrestling After Dark Results & Highlights

The action didn’t stop after Uprising 8, as Wrestling After Dark delivered another showcase of outstanding talent and memorable moments from the women’s division.

Gabby Forza vs. Connor Hopkins

Gabby Forza entered the match riding high after her Wrestling Open victory earlier in the weekend. Connor Hopkins, however, had other plans. In a hard-fought contest, Hopkins was able to weather Forza’s offense and ultimately score the victory.

Eve of Destruction

Shazza McKenzie vs. Harley Hudson vs. Rachel Ley

Fresh off her victory earlier in the evening, Shazza McKenzie returned to action in a Triple Threat Match against Harley Hudson and Rachel Ley. Harley appeared to have much of the match under control, keeping both opponents on the defensive and looking poised for victory. However, Shazza’s veteran instincts proved to be the difference-maker. Capitalizing on the right opportunity, McKenzie locked in a submission and forced the tap out to secure another impressive victory.

Maggie Lee vs. Brittanie Brooks

One of the biggest surprises of the night came when Brittanie Brooks faced Maggie Lee. Lee looked to continue her momentum, but outside interference from Steven Wolfe changed the complexion of the match. Brooks took advantage of the distraction and pulled off a major upset victory, leaving fans shocked by the outcome.

as both competitors used the stipulation to their advantage, delivering one of the most brutal encounters of the evening.

Women’s Championship Strap Math

Rebecca J. Scott (c) vs. B3CCA

The main event spotlight belonged to the Women’s Championship match as Rebecca J. Scott defended her title against B3CCA With no disqualifications and no limits, the Strap Match brought a different level of intensity to the event. The physicality escalated quickly as both competitors used the stipulation to their advantage, delivering one of the most brutal encounters of the evening. Both competitors brought championship-level performances, with B3CCA pushing the champion to her limits throughout the contest. In the end, Rebecca J. Scott proved why she holds the gold, successfully retaining the championship and closing out another successful title defense.

Closing Thoughts

This was a strong weekend for women’s wrestling from start to finish. Shazza McKenzie put together an impressive run, Gabby Forza made her presence felt, and Rebecca J. Scott left the weekend with two successful championship defenses.
